Astún and Candanchú are two neighbouring resorts in the Aragonese Pyrenees, in the Aragón river valley, less than 30 minutes from Jaca and just over 6 km apart by road. Astún has 51 runs (5 green, 18 blue, 22 red, and 6 black) and more than 50 km of skiable terrain between 1,658 and 2,300 metres, with its own freestyle snowpark. Candanchú, in the Canfranc valley and just steps from the French border, is Spain's oldest ski resort, open since 1928: its runs are spread across 4 ski areas, from the classic Pista Grande to the Tuca Blanca, its highest point at 2,400 metres. Together they add up to more than 100 km of slopes and are connected by a shuttle service and a joint season pass.
